# Finding User Accounts

User accounts can be found by name, e-mail address, username, role, Organization, Organizations they have management over, when they were created and several other options as well.

## Finding User Accounts

To find a user:

1. On the **Admin** menu in the Users group, select **Find Users**.
2. Select **Add filter**.
3. From the dropdown, select the ones you would like to use.
4. Add necessary information in the filters.
5. Select **Output Options** and select the fields you would like to see in your output.
6. Select **Search**. To view the user's account, in the search results either select the user's name or the **Details** link on the same row.

An organization is assigned to each entity in the TMS, such as, users, classes, subscriptions, and courses. The organization is a basis to determine access given based on roles within the organization and management over the organization.

Organizations are the containers in which all objects in Skillable Studio reside. Each organization has two child orgs, Development and Production. Development is used for content creation and testing. Production is used only for content that is ready for consumption. Organizations also provide one of the security boundaries within the Skillable Studio platform.
