# Finding Instructors that Teach a Specific Course

You can use filters on the Find Instructors page and the Choose Instructor dialog box from the Create/Edit Class page to narrow the list of instructors to ones whose profiles match your criteria. On the Find Instructors page this could be those who have attended, prepared for, or are certified to teach a Course you choose. Only the certified filter is available in the Choose Instructor dialog box and only after a course is chosen.

## Find Instructors

To find instructors for a course:

1. Select **Find Instructors** on the **Admin** menu.
2. On the **Find Instructors** page, select **Add Filter** dropdown and select one these filters:
  1. **Certified for course (choose)**
  2. **Prepared for course (choose)**
  3. **Attended course (choose)**
3. After you have added the filter(s), in the **Choose Course** dialog box, use the filters to search for the course you want.
4. Select the appropriate course and select **OK**.
5. Select **Search**.

The instructors whose profiles match your criteria will be displayed.

A class is a scheduled instructor-led event with a start and end time/date. Typically, these include lectures and hands on activities such as labs.

Bundles together content to then be set up for training through classes, subscriptions, and course assignments. Courses can include labs, videos, SCORM, LTI, external links, assessments, and documents. Courses must be assigned to a Content Provider and a Publishing Group to be available to set up for training.
