Depending on the configuration of your user account, you may be limited to a small number of labs that can be running or saved, at the same time. If you have a lab running, and wish to launch another lab, you may need to cancel or save your current lab.
Best Practice for Choosing to Save or Cancel
If your account configuration allows you to save multiple labs, it is recommended to save a lab instead of cancelling, when possible. This will preserve the work done in the lab, instead of losing progress by cancelling.
Cancel or Save a Lab
If you have the maximum number of labs running for your account, you can cancel or save a running lab, so that you can launch a new lab. If a lab is cancelled, all work in the lab will be discarded and cannot be recovered. Depending on the configuration of your lab, cancelling your lab may not be possible, please reach out to your instructor or organization for assistance.
Cancel a Running Lab
If you have the maximum number of labs running for your account, you can cancel a running lab by perform the following steps:
Select the Menu in the upper-right corner of the lab window.
Select End.
Save a Running Lab
If you have the maximum number of labs running for your account, you can save a running lab by perform the following steps:
Select the Menu in the upper-right corner of the lab window.
Select End.
When the lab saves, a message will be shown that describes when the lab save will expire. Once the saved lab expires, all progress in the lab will be lost.
Resuming a Running Lab
When a saved lab is resumed, it will be in the same state that it was in when it was saved.
You can resume a saved lab by perform the following steps:
Navigate to the page that you launched the lab from previously.
Select the Resume button.
The lab will begin to resume. Once the lab is resumed, you will be able to continue where you left off before the lab was saved.
