How Do I Create A VM Profile?

Virtual Machine (VM) Profiles are optional components for a Lab Profile. Each virtual machine you will use in your labs will need its own Virtual Machine Profile. You can add VM’s you have uploaded to storage.

For Skillable Studio lab component terminology and guidelines for building Lab Series and Lab Profiles, please read the Skillable Studio Terminology and Guidelines for Building a Lab article.

There are two locations to create a VM Profile:

  • From the Lab Series page you want to add the VM Profile to (automatically associates the VM Profile to the series)

  • From the Admin page on the Virtual Machine Profiles tile (not automatically associated with any Lab Series). This article will cover from the Lab Series page.

Once you are logged in:

  1. Navigated to the Lab Series page

  2. Select Create Virtual Machine Profile in the link bar towards the top of the page.
