    How to Use Keyboard Accessibility?

    Article summary

One of the features of Labs is that they are keyboard accessible, meaning that users can navigate and interact with them using only the keyboard. This is useful for users who have difficulty using a mouse or who prefer to use the keyboard for efficiency or convenience. To use the keyboard to access Labs, users can follow the standard keyboard controls such as Tab, Space, and Enter.

    Labs with Virtual Machines

If your lab is equipped with a Virtual Machine, there will be a selection of commonly used key combinations under the Commands Menu (lightning bolt icon) for ease of use.

Breaking Focus within Hyper-V Virtual Machines

Virtual machines will automatically capture keyboard input when focused. When running a Hyper-V hosted lab, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Break can be used to break focus from the virtual machine and return focus to the Lab Client interface. After using this shortcut, you will be able to send keyboard input to the surrounding lab interface instead of the virtual machine.

On many keyboards, the Pause and Break keys share the same physical key, with Break utilizing the alternative function.
