# Updating User Profile Information

## Overview

As a registered Skillable Marketplace user, you can update your profile to manage account details like your email address, profile picture, and password. To purchase labs on behalf of a team, you must first update your profile settings.

### Before You Begin

To perform any of the tasks below, open your profile from the [Skillable Marketplace](https://marketplace.skillable.com/pages/25/home-page) by selecting the User Menu (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a298db04-a0fe-47e0-bfe3-c52d6f9d7c8c/Images/Documentation/image-6NGSOOBD.png)) in the top-left corner, then selecting the pencil icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a298db04-a0fe-47e0-bfe3-c52d6f9d7c8c/Images/Documentation/image-DF2DGQ07.png)).

## Update Your Profile Basic Details

To update basic account details including your profile image, name, and email:

1. On the **Personal info**tab of your profile, update any of these fields as needed:
  1. Avatar
  2. First Name
  3. Last Name
  4. Email
  5. Company Name
  6. Job Title
2. Click **SAVE CHANGES**to apply your updates.

> If you navigate away from your profile without saving, you’re prompted to either save or discard your changes.

## Change Your Password

To update your account password:

1. In your profile sidebar menu, select the **Change password**tab.
2. Enter your current password and new password, then re-enter the new password to confirm.
3. After filling in the password details, click **CHANGE PASSWORD**.

## Enable Team Purchasing

To enable purchasing labs on behalf of a team:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the **Personal info**tab of your profile.
2. In the **Are you purchasing for a team?** dropdown, select **Yes**.
3. Click **SAVE CHANGES**to submit your request.

After you save your changes, your request is queued for configuration. You will receive a notification when the update is complete. Once approved, you can purchase labs on behalf of a team.

## Set Your Language Preference

To set your language preference:

1. In your profile sidebar menu, select the **Preferences**tab.
2. Use the **Language**dropdown to select your preferred language.
3. Click **SAVE CHANGES**to apply your update.
