AI Token Usage Report

Prev Next

AI token usage generated by Skillable AI features can be reviewed through the AI Token Usage report in Skillable Studio. This report helps administrators understand token consumption across AI-powered tools used during both lab development and lab delivery.

AI Token Reporting

AI token reporting enables Studio users with the appropriate permissions to view token usage for the AI tools used to create and run labs. This information can be used to monitor adoption, understand consumption patterns, and support operational or cost analysis.

Note

Not all AI tools support token reporting at launch. Support for the following tools will be added shortly after release:

  • Script Assistant
  • Cloud Resource Deployment Template Assistant
  • Cloud Access Control Policy Assistant

Running the AI Token Usage Report

To run the report:

  1. From the Studio Administration page, locate the Integrations tile.
  2. Select AI Token Usage.
  3. Configure the available filters as required.
  4. Run the report.

Understanding the Report

The AI Token Usage report allows you to:

  • View token consumption for individual AI tools or across all supported tools.
  • Filter data covering up to two years of usage history.
  • Export report results to CSV format for additional analysis.
  • Print report results for offline review or record keeping.

Interpreting Report Results

Report entries can represent either lab development activity or learner activity.

  • Rows containing a Lab Instance value indicate token usage generated within a running lab. These entries are associated with learner-facing AI tools.
  • Rows without a Lab Instance value indicate token usage generated by lab development tools used to create or maintain lab content.

This distinction helps identify whether token consumption originated from learners interacting with a lab or from lab authors building lab experiences.
